ReplyDeleteThanks for Tolliver - Baystate records are in general hard to find with lots of interesting titles (anyone have this double LP?: Art Blakey "Super live" 2 LP Baystate JP, A GROOVY NIGHT WITH THE MAGNIFICENT SIXART BLAKEY ALL STARS -JAPAN-2025-FEB2/84

Thanks for this. Nathen Page is playing the guitar (very tastily too).
ReplyDeleteOff course, sorry.
ReplyDeleteWhile preparing the post I've been listening to Peter Kowald - hence the bass - I assume.
hee hee...it's Novosel on the bass, Page on guitar, no piano
ReplyDelete....I'm obviously a bit confused these days...
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Never knew about this one -- as great as Stanley Cowell is, it's interesting hearing Tolliver against a guitar instead. Kind of softens the overall sound in a way. Thank you for this!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is very fine music, Thanks onxidlib!!! And this is also a very fine sounding recording as well--i'm assuming this is the cd version(?). If not, this vinyl sounds great, and you did a superb job ripping it! Either way, great rare stuff--much appreciated! --dandor
ReplyDeleteWhat a great record. Nathen Page really adds to the group. Earl's World cooks.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have missed this, is there any chance of a re-up? Please.
