Wonderful. Thanks, Gus. Very much looking forward to listening to this.
ReplyDeleteFantastic posting and very apt as I'm just reading 'The Dark Tree' by Steve Isoardi at this moment, Of course they discuss these recordings (among others) throughout this wonderful book.
ReplyDeleteHi, Thanks for the great music. The first music track cuts out rather abruptly, right in the middle of a blazing solo. Is there a complete version of this track?
ReplyDeleteJerry
Hi, Again, Actually when I play the concert EVERY track breaks off before it really ends. It is quite frustrating, considering how scorching the music is.
ReplyDeleteJerry
Gerald, I'm sorry you are having problems with this post. The original material is intact, so I downloaded my links and had no trouble listening to all the tracks, except for the interview which stops abruptly.
ReplyDeleteBest, GUS
Thanks very much for the fast repost and fix.
ReplyDeleteThese files work fine as far as I can tell. I would note there is a short intro/discussion in here as Track 5 that goes before Track 5 in the accompanying set list, so there are 7 tracks here, with the ones noted as Tracks 5 and 6 in the text actually being 6 and 7.
Great music.
Thanks for this... will try to be better at commenting in future...

I installed the latest VLC player and the music plays just fine now. It is really special. Thanks.

D/l'd this some time ago but have only gotten round to listening (my loss). This is a terrific concert and well recorded. Thank you gsrbts2 for posting this and apologies for the delay in acknowledging your effort.
ReplyDeleteCan someone reupload this?
ReplyDeleteThanks

ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the new link.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the re-up of this Ernst. This was a great show!! I was there that closing Sunday night of Chicago Jazz Fest. This was second to last show of the fest. Should have been the headliner that night, IMHO!!!!! No offense meant to Mac Rebennack of course ,but Tapscott is the man!!!! (and w/ Blythe on hand)
ReplyDeleteWas a great set as I remember. Really looking forward to hearing it 24 years later!!!
Danke
