MASAHIKO TOGASHI "VOICE FROM YONDER" (1978) & "STORY OF WIND BEHIND LEFT" (1975)

These two marvelous recordings are coming to you in one post. The reason is more trivial - I do not own this LPs - and it seems to be impossible to find the cover-art or even more than a few photographs from Togashi himself in the net.
(Finally I've found also the second cover - in February 2015)

The music itself is percussion heavy with gorgeous results. Hope it will enchant you as it does to me!

  3. Thanks so much for these. Keep them coming, if you have more. A request: I remember once owning an LP of his with Charlie Haden, but I can't remember the name of it. It was really good, though. Any chance of getting it out? Cheers.

  7. "Voice from Yonder" - wow. Million thanks. Couldn't find it even after raiding two dozen record stores in Tokyo.

While discussing only-in-your-dreams japanese free jazz, anyone got Togashi's duo album with Masayuki Takayanagi "Pulsations" on Paddle Wheel?

  8. No problem sotise - Really!

    onyl a bit perplexed!

Pulsation with Takayanagi and Togashi - yes I certainly would be interested as well.

  9. Anonymous: I think you mean "Session in Paris Vol. 1: Song of Soil" with Haden and Cherry -- I don't have it anymore either, sadly. Vol. 2 is a quartet with Mangelsdorff which is brilliant.
