ReplyDeleteCheck - it's Noel McGhee. Poor guy gets is name mispelled all the time.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Riccardo, thanks once again (only one bsuggestion, get rid of Rapidshare, its become the worse and most expensive downloading provider)
ReplyDeleteGreat post indeed (as always). inconstant sol is definitely a gold mine !!! Thanks again and again to riccardo & all the contributors who share their jewels with us.
ReplyDeleteabout trane's suggestion : mediafire (www.mediafire.com)is almost absolutely free for uppers and downloaders
PS about mediafire : free, but slow (makes the difference with rs)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I've seen some complaints about Megaupload, I've generally had good luck with it. It's definitely faster and more user-friendly than RS (for free users anyway), plus you don't have to break your file into 100 MB segments - I think the upper limit for a single file is 1 GB.
ReplyDeleteI would like to make a recommendation to those of you who don't like using Rapidshare.
ReplyDeleteGoogle "Jdownloader" and then download the program and then start it up. Next, highlight and then right click and copy all the links here. It will automatically insert them into Jdownloader and on that screen right click the file and select "Continue with all" then you can start the rapidshare transfer. Sometimes it will not start immediately or will say something like "Too many users downloading" or "Cannot download at this time." Just ignore it and minimize Jdownloader. When you check it after a couple of hours your file will be downloading or already finished.
btw, thank you again for sharing your collection with us, Riccardo!

ReplyDeleteGreat! My favorite musician of all time. What a sound he's got
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Riccardo!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this - Shepp on the cusp of the route of traditionalism, blues songs and re-treads of the same routines and compositions (Mama Rose, Steam, etc) that he seems to have gone down - and that seems to have grown ever more stale - in recent years (IMHO, and fine collaborations with Amina Claudine Myers, Mal Waldron, Horace Parlan notwithstanding). But here, in that interface between hard bop, modal and free jazz he was exploring in the mid-late 70s, there's a palpable energy and fire to the playing, particularly on 'Things Have Got to Change' (interesting to compare it to the vocals-dominated studio version with Joe Lee Wilson, itself an inspiring listen). Love the take on 'New Africa' as well...
ReplyDeletePlease, repost the archives to download this concert. Thanks in advance
