The Cooler Sessions - Live in NYC '97

This will be a very long post : more than five hours of music!
Taped by a dear friend of mine this is the complete recording of
two nights at "The Cooler" club in NYC with Cecil Taylor and
Thurston Moore.
Seen the dimensions, the post will be divided in four parts.

    I haven't had a chance to download/listen to this, but is it possible that the saxophonist is Charles Gayle? I saw Moore and Rashied Ali at the Cooler that year (I think it was the March 1 show) and Gayle was scheduled to play but didn't.

    "its me w/ jackson krall and tom surgal - drums - and dominic duval - bass --- we played one set together one night and some horrible sax player bum rushed the stage and played w/ us stopping cecil from joining in - the next night we played again together w/out the fucked sax player and cecil did indeed join us 20 minutes into the meal. video exists of both nights in total - but they are not "circulated".
    The tape that circulates is from the first night, without Cecil. The sound quality on that tape isn't so great, either. No known tapes circulate of the 2nd night, with Cecil." T.Moore

    Thanks for this (and all the others). Unfortunately having issues with sets 1&2 parts 2 and 5, FLAC, both "terminate unexpectedly" and stop everything except the credits unpacking.

    i'm a bit late coming to this but THANK YOU! i have been looking for this historic show for years. i was there.
    in a similar vein, has anyone ever seen copies of Cecil and Derek Bailey at Tonic in NYC in 2000?
    i have searched far and wide for this too--their only other appearance together is on the FMP box set.

    Robert, thank you, i actually downloaded most if not all of it , gave it cursory listen , thinking fuck, not another lousy quality CT boot in shitty syrupy remastered sound, it seemed to get muddier as the sets progressed too... so i deleted it all in a fit of pique...
