The improvisation's title, "Una Giornata A Genova", was suggested by
the same Rivers just before the concert. The sequence, in this case,
is : soprano-piano-flute-tenor with Holland playing for long the cello.
Rec. live in Nervi (Genoa), Italy, on July 22, 1978
(mix recording)
Sam Rivers,tenor & soprano sax,piano,flute

Thanks for the reup of this kinabalu. I have the Brescia, but not this one. Really looking forward to giving it a spin later.
ReplyDeleteSam's really at his best when there are no time considerations to worry about. Thanks for all the reups. No such thing as too much Sam Rivers.
ReplyDeleteSam live was always best, free from format constraints, I agree Rev.B. Spent a few hours at Rivbea, and in Florida. Live on Sam in these recordings. Thanks for the great shares.
