an historic meeting CECIL TAYLOR ,ANTHONY BRAXTON,WILLIAM PARKER, TONY OXLEY- LIVE IN LONDON 8TH JULY 2007

BOROMIR SAID "I've recorded the Cecil Taylor concert and upped it to RS. Here's the link http://rapidshare.com/files/43864666/CT.rar.html 53 mins, ripped at 256 kbps. There's a duet with Taylor and Oxley, before Braxton and Parker come in. So far I've only listened to the duo, which is very good - Taylor in fine form (I hope I'm that energetic at 80), Oxley quite subdued, perhaps under orders. I've only skimmed through the quartet part to check recording quality so I'll defer judgement on that until I've had a proper listen.

  1. A quick note of thanks. I had listened to it live and was hoping for someone to have downloaded it. Greatly appreciated.

Plus the Richard Grossman - a highly underrated pianist and this helps complete the collection.

  2. Very much looking fwd to hearing this! Was hoping someone would record it when I first read about it. Thanks to the both of you (& anyone else involved) for putting it up. (Coincidentally, I was in the middle of listening to "Live in Bologna" when I arrived here this afternoon - also w/ W Parker on board, as well as the late Leroy Jenkins).

arcturus, that edition of the unit is a favourite, though of course carlos ward's a very different soul than jimmy L.
live in bologna is something else
    though.
