I've been a bit of a Xenakis fan for years, but these BBC broadcasts showed me sides of him I never knew existed. Wonderful stuff!

Just one thing - I've only been able to download parts 1,2 and 4. Part 3 keeps giving an error on Rapidshare. Any chance you could upload it again? I'm really curious to hear it. Many thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

Brian, Corsica
dvdl25 AT yahoo.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8357696082833015704.post-43243720865366541212009-10-13T15:11:56.147+02:002009-10-13T15:11:56.147+02:00Hi Wally -

There is a false ending where the audience begins to clap (you wonder why they don't take their cues from the musicians... but the piece continues to an indefinite ending. Still, it doesn't end midnote, as does Alax. On the BBC site, stranger still, Alax is not listed. Only Nuits and Shaar are.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/performanceon3/pip/ataz7/

Any clue as to what might have happened with the rest of the music?laslawnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8357696082833015704.post-84156959755125550942009-10-06T09:45:04.349+02:002009-10-06T09:45:04.349+02:00Hi Tantris,

Since nobody else has commented I guess it must be.
Cheers, Wally.Wallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04380844238508612502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8357696082833015704.post-46190953350418771342008-02-12T21:13:00.000+01:002008-02-12T21:13:00.000+01:00Dale:Not so fast!
